The Smoke Pit To Bring Added Flavor To Intimidators Stadium Concessions in 2016

The Kannapolis Intimidators are teaming up with The Smoke Pit, Cabarrus County’s premier barbecue restaurant, to offer some of the best BBQ in the Carolinas to fans all season long at Intimidators Stadium supported by Carolinas HealthCare System.  The Smoke Pit, which will operate its own concessions stand on the first base concourse, brings its award-winning North Carolina Pulled Pork, Pulled BBQ Chicken, smoked sausage dogs, jumbo smoked wings, and more delicious favorites to the ballpark.

Since they opened in December of 2014, The Smoke Pit has gone from serving 30 customers a day to now more than 700 customers per day at its Concord location on Highway 29.  The restaurant is bringing its surprising low prices and refreshingly large portions to Intimidators fans at all 70 home games during the 2016 season.

“We’re excited to improve the fan experience at the ballpark with upgraded dining options this season,” said Intimidators General Manager Randy Long.  “The Smoke Pit has been one of if not the most popular BBQ restaurant in Cabarrus County since it opened, and we’re looking forward to having them at every home game in 2016.”

In addition to ordering their mouth-watering sandwiches and smoked sausage dogs, fans will also enjoy pulled pork nachos and delicious sides.  Groups and companies booking an outing at an Intimidators game can also have their ballpark picnic catered by The Smoke Pit in 2016 (ask your ticket representative for more information).
