Every Second Saturday, ClearWater Artist Studios will be 'manned' by artist members with doors open 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m2nd Saturday Open Studios allows you to see artists at work in studios, chat and learn.

There will be artists on-site working in Studios; open to the Public for exploration, asking artists questions, seeing art being created! The Gallery will also be open for perusal of whatever show has been mounted at the time.

This Saturday, there will be a guest artist working at ClearWater, Phillip Larrimore. He has
started his solo show installation in the ClearWater Gallery, and it is sure to be a beautiful experience you won't want to miss. His installation is a custom-hang, necessary because each of four layers per painting must be suspended in its own plane. He spent 5 hours going up and down the ladder, and will continue for much of this week.

'The Go Between', Larrimore's exhibit, will open with an Opening Reception with the artist, 6:00-8:00 pm on May 20th; the exhibition will continue through the end of June. The artist will present an Artist Talk with slideshow, on Saturday June 11 at 2:00 pm, which corresponds with ClearWater’s “2nd Saturday Open Studios” day (10am-4pm). A $5 donation is suggested but not required.

Larrimore is an artist who experiments in a variety of ways with how the eyes and the mind re-construct imagery. He has worked in comparative solitude in Wingate, NC, where he came from New York in 1994. He has shown previously at Happy Box Architecture and Dialect Design in Charlotte, as well as the Gaston County Museum; but this is his largest show to date, and includes work from 1999 to the present.
