Only a quick road trip away is a beautiful oasis called the Sapphire Quarry in Mooresville, NC. With the weather starting to slowly warm up, why not start thinking about those summer plans?

The Sapphire Quarry is part of Carrigan Farms, LLC and is a "spring-fed" body of water that is not only beautiful, but also open to the public during certain times throughout the year. It's typically enjoyed during the summer and is a great place to cool off.

The Quarry is 25-feet deep and isn't known to too many outside of the Mooresville area. It truly is a hidden gem. It was mined for granite in the 1960s, where the body of water was discovered. The granite was used for the construction of interstate 77. Once the water was discovered, it was filled fully and has been enjoyed ever since!

There are spaces to jump from rocks and a gorgeous waterfall to relax by.
Carrigan Farms hosts picnics and private events, as well as open swim days, which is the majority of the summer season.

To learn more about the quarry and making reservations, you can visit
Carrigan Farms' website.
