The NorthEast Foundation will be hosting their 23rd annual Black Tie & Auction Gala. At this fundraising event, expect a wonderful evening with silent and live auction, a live band and a wonderful dinner to help raise money for the NorthEast Foundation and supporting Carolinas HealthCare System NorthEast.

Even better, anyone can attend!

About the Gala

At the Gala there will be an announcement honoring a local-area physician who exhibits exceptional leadership and devoted service to NorthEast Foundation and their affiliated hospital.

This year's recipient is Dr. Paul T. Campbell, Interventional Cardiologist.

Nearly 700 friends and supporters of NorthEast Foundation are expected to gather for the Annual Gala. It's an elegant evening of dinner and dancing and continues to be the foremost black-tie event within the community attracting hospital, civic and corporate leaders. All proceeds from the Annual Gala benefit CHS NorthEast.

A Little History of the NorthEast Foundation

NorthEast Foundation was created in 1994 to support one of our community's most valued assets, Carolinas HealthCare System NorthEast. Community leaders were invited to establish a Foundation Board of Directors whose mission was to secure additional financial support solely for Carolinas HealthCare System NorthEast. Through an organized program of fund development with families, friends, businesses and neighbors, this mission continues today.  Gifts to NorthEast Foundation are considered gifts of love and support from the community, gifts that acknowledge the importance of preserving and enhancing the health status of our community.

The main mission of the NorthEast Foundation is to support the strategic plan of Carolinas HealthCare System NorthEast by actively engaging citizens to participate in fundraising and friend-raising initiatives to better promote and meet the needs of the medical center.

They also hope to be the region’s most trusted non-profit entity so that we may invest donor’s interests in a way that best serves and promotes CHS NorthEast. Their next campaign for 2017 -2019 is called  “We Give First….” NorthEast Foundation, Supporting Our Hospital. The goal for this campaign is to raise 10 million dollars by the end of 2019. Essentially, 1 million for their 10 areas of support.

The 10 Areas of Support

  • Cabarrus College of Health Sciences
  • Cancer Services
  • Cardiac Services
  • Emergency Services
  • Endowment
  • Greatest Need
  • Jeff Gordon Children's Hospital
  • Neurosciences
  • Surgical Services
  • Women's Services

President of the NorthEast Foundation, Charlie Sastoque, spoke about his favorite aspect of the foundation, "Connecting donors to supporting the area or areas of the hospital they are most passionate about."

The upcoming black tie gala is held for the foundation's 10 areas of support and the launch of their new campaign “We Give First.”
