The Old Courthouse Theater presents their latest show, The Music Man. Opening night is April 20th, 2017 and is sure to bring laughs and good music.

The Music Man follows fast-talking traveling salesman Harold Hill as he cons the people of River City, Iowa into buying instruments and uniforms for a boys' band he vows to organize - this despite the fact he doesn't know a trombone from a treble clef. His plans to skip town with the cash are foiled when he falls for Marian the librarian, who transforms him into a respectable citizen by curtain's fall.

We wanted to learn a little bit more about the cast and crew that has been working tirelessly to bring the show to us, so we reached out to the crew with a few questions.

Tell us about the upcoming show “Music Man." What can we expect?

You can expect it to be a family affair for sure. It's the first time all four Wilsons will be working on a show together. Heather Wilson-Bowlby is the director while her brother, Chris, is in the orchestra and their parents, Trent and Anne, are in the show.

In addition to the Wilsons, there are several other families in the cast. Longtime theater vet Tommy Warlick and his two children, Tyler and Hannah, also appear together on stage for the first time, as do brothers Hayden and Liam Farrell, and siblings Alyssa and Ryland Padilla. Mother and daughter duo Denise and Abby McKercher round out the familial connections.

What is the cast most excited about for this show?

The best part is after working on a show for so long finally getting to present it as a gift for the audience. It's also great hearing that first laugh or applause.

How can someone get tickets?

Tickets can be purchased at www.Showtix4.com or by calling 704-788-2405.

Is there anything else we should know?

It's classical musical Americana. You can't get much better or more American than a classic like "The Music Man."
