The National Weather Service has announced as of the morning of July 12th, 2017 that North Carolina should expect severe and unpredictable weather.

According to the report, "Isolated to scattered thunderstorms will develop across the region this afternoon and evening." This is expected to produce slow and steady rain fall, and possibly some flooding in certain areas. Be cautious of high winds and lightening.

The report said of the rest of the week, "Excessive heat possible. Afternoon Heat Index values between 100 and 104 are expected."

The weather is expected to calm down by the time the weekend rolls around, just in time to enjoy the outdoors!
