PreGel America, the U.S. division of PreGel, is set to expand its Concord operation, according to a Cabarrus Economic Development press release. PreGel America will contribute $14.4 million over a four-year period for equipment and development.

PreGel America is a global specialty dessert ingredient company.

This expansion has both PreGel America and the City of Concord very excited, and is expected to generate more revenue for the area. They have collaborated since 2006.

“We have found great success among the diverse network of businesses in the area, and we’re proud to be a part of this infrastructure and grow with the progressive development that Concord is experiencing," said Marco Casol, president and CEO of PreGel in the press release.

This expansion includes a performance-based tax incentive and was supported by both the Cabarrus County Board of Commissioners and the Concord City Council. This incentive is over a three-year period, totaling in $249,900 for Cabarrus County and $171,360 for the City of Concord.

The press release states, "The expansion will add approximately 110,000 square feet of manufacturing and warehouse space at its operation located at 4450 Fortune Avenue NW, Concord, NC 28027, where PreGel America currently employs 93 workers."

Congratulations on the expanded partnership! Here's to many more years of collaboration!
