Feb 09, 2018 02:34PM ● Published by Melanie Heisinger

Cabarrus County Schools said in January that it wants names for its newest elementary school. It is planned to be built in Harrisburg.

The final choice is expected to be made in March, and the deadline to submit an idea is February 23rd.

In a Tweet by CabCoSchools, "Our BOE is accepting name suggestions for the district’s newest elementary school, which will be located in Harrisburg. Suggestions will be accepted until 2/23 at 5pm. Submitted names will be reviewed on 3/5 and a final selection will be made on 3/12."

When it comes to the naming,
Board Policy 9300 will be used as guidance.

To submit an idea or to learn more, you can head to the
Cabarrus County School website.
