600 Festival EventsFor over 32 years, the 600 Festival Association has been commemorating the May races at Charlotte Motor Speedway with spectacular family-oriented events.
With a lot of ingenuity and imagination, youngsters construct workable, rolling vehicles out of zucchini for a matchup of Cabarrus County’s young racing talent.
It’s more than a parade, though; it’s a huge free party. Find us along Union Street between Cabarrus and Corban Avenues for live beach music from The Tim Clark Band, activities for children, food, giveaways, race cars on display and so much more.
The action begins at 5 p.m. but come out early and stay until the last flag flies in the free event. And as an added bonus, there will be a race for some of the top spotters in the sport.
