The F.W. Quality Agency Award is the highest honor that can be presented to Erie Insurance agents. Agents who earn this prestigious award, demonstrate their lifelong commitment to exceptional service, a winning attitude, and dedication to quality growth. On April 16th, 2018, Trey Siner insurance Group was honored with this award at the Annual Business Meeting here at the Embassy Suites in Concord. Agents from around the area come to celebrate accomplishments and learn what Erie Insurance is planning for the future at these meeting as well as honor some of the agents in North Carolina for their accomplishments.
The F. W. Hirt Quality Agency Award is named after Erie Insurance founder’s son, F.W. Bill Hirt. Bill Hirt served as the Chairman and CEO of Erie Family Life Insurance Company, President and CEO of The Erie Insurance Group, as well as the chairman of the board of directors during a career that lasted 41 years. The award was named in his honor and it is presented to just a few exemplary Erie agencies within the 14 states in which Erie conducts business. The award is voted on by all of the Erie Board Members and the Executive staff.
In addition to the F.W. Hirt Quality Agency award Trey Siner Insurance Group was honored with the Gold Level Recognition for Life Insurance Production, the Erie Auto Club award for Personal Auto Insurance production and the Founders Award. They were also honored with the Triple Crown for production of Commercial, personal and life insurance. The Erie Branch Elite award is given to the agency who tops the production and service in all three lines of business for the entire branch.
We wanted to learn more about Trey Siner Insurance Group so we got in touch with Trey Siner himself.
The Trey Siner Insurance Group was recently awarded the F.W. Quality Agency Award, congratulations! Can you tell us about that?We were blown away when we received the award. It's a vision that you would love to earn but is not really a goal, because everybody from the CEO to all executive management vote on it. Basically they all have a personal relationship with the Chairman of the board all the way down. They have to like you and you them. But, they noticed our work and awarded us.
An ex-NFL player, one of my friends, told us we won the super bowl of insurance. It's a coveted award and isn't annual. Whenever they want to give it out is when someone receives it. When they see an agent or agency performing really well in everything, like customer service, sales, and how you operate and treat people. It's all-encompassing. You can't really focus on it, it just happens. The last time it was won by an agent in the Charlotte area was 2015.
What do you think led to this award?I think our attitude towards really going above and beyond in service. We promise a lot and deliver even more, which is our vision.
It all starts when we answer the phone. We think: How can we make this the best call of your day? Every conversation is that way. When you do the right thing, day after day, year after year, things like this come about. It goes over years and years of them knowing who you are, what you stand for and what you represent.
One of the things I love to do is serve on an agent task force for their life insurance company. I'm the chair. We help determine what the client needs are. We help talk about pricing, and so many different factors, in developing life insurance products for people. This is my 4th year and I've been on the committee and I've been the chair for 2.
Well, we love to be recognized, it's just an honor. At the end of the day, I think if you saw the different awards, it's a testament and a visual for how we treat our clients. We serve thousands of people in the area. It's comforting to know that we are recognized for what we love to do.
I noticed that you have also won several other prestigious awards. What has that been like?
One of the awards for Insurance groups is the Branch Elite. We won the last 2 years based on production, claims, personal lines, and life insurance. We are fortunate enough they ask us to help them.
What are your goals for the future? Do you hope to earn more awards?
We would love to. Once you earn Branch Elite one time, you want to again. I would love to earn it again this year because it means we're out-performing agencies in the district. And it's all because of Erie Insurance. They are our partners and strong financially. It's great to partner with someone like them right beside you.
What's something we absolutely need to know about Trey Siner Insurance Group?A vision we have is to become the agency of choice in Cabarrus County. We want to be known as someone that gives back, as that agency that continually serves the client not matter the needs. Right now, we're trying to raise $80,000 to build a Habitat for Humanity Cabarrus County house. That would be a first for a single company to raise funds for Habitat.

We just want to be known as a partner in the community.
