A quaint cafe chain, Maple Street Biscuit Company is the perfect place to grab coffee and comfort food, and the Concord location opened about 3 months ago. But make sure to go in the morning -- they are only open until 2pm most days.

Yelp review by Erik W. read, "A biscuit place? Sign me up, yo...

This is a really cute small chain restaurant with a phenomenal local/community vibe."

Menu staples include biscuits (in fact, they have an entire section dedicated to them), waffles and breakfast items like oatmeal, and coffee. Stop by and indulge at 8921 Christenbury Pkwy, Concord, NC 28027!

2. JJ’s Fresh Kitchen And Bar

Asian fusion is the name of the game at JJ's, which opened two months ago in Concord. Expect to find plates like poke bowls, mini pots, a noodle bar, and street fare, as well as specialties unique to the restaurant.

"Great food! Menu is Asian fusion. Highly recommend trying. Dumplings were great. Will come back to try more," Christina D. said on Yelp

Try out the unique dishes today but visiting JJ's at 6081 Bayfield Pkwy, Concord, NC 28027.

Harrisburg just got a new unique bar experience with Vortex Bottle Shop. Having opened 2 months ago, they specialize in local beer and wine. However, they understand that there's more out there, carrying a wide range of regional, national and international craft products.

You can find over 150 different beers and 75 wines in stock and a relaxing tap room to sip and enjoy your new favorite brew. They also feature an interesting selection of food choices to pair with your beer or wine, and 18 rotating taps in the tap room.

"Super relaxed environment and nice to have somewhere new to go in Harrisburg! Keep up the good work guys!" Yelp's Mike C. said about Vortex.

Sit back and relax at Vortex at 4469 School House Commons Harrisburg, NC 28075.
