The NorthEast Foundation, now in its 25th year providing financial and community support for Carolinas HealthCare System (CHS) NorthEast, is hosting a Dine Around in celebration of the state-of-the-art Heart and Vascular Tower opening its doors to the residents of Cabarrus and surrounding counties.

As of today, 16 restaurants in the community have chosen a day of the week where a percentage of their proceeds from that day will be donated to Heart and Vascular Services through the NorthEast Foundation.  The Dine Around will begin Friday, July 26, the hospital’s 82nd birthday, and will continue through Saturday, Aug. 3, the Community Opening Day for the Heart and Vascular Tower.

“I love seeing relationships between our non-profits and businesses in Concord, it’s one of the many things that make our city great,” said Concord Mayor Bill Dusch. “The new Heart & Vascular Tower at CHS NorthEast will be a wonderful addition to our hospital and a huge benefit for the health and well-being of our citizens and community.”

The Heart and Vascular Tower is the new four-story building that will house all cardiac and vascular services at CHS NorthEast.  The 162,597 square foot building will include diagnostic cardiology, two catheterization labs, interventional radiology labs and 60 patient rooms for heart and vascular patients.

“We are all very excited about the opening of the Heart and Vascular Tower,” said Phyllis Wingate, president of CHS NorthEast.  “The new tower was designed to improve the patient experience and continue our tradition of providing cutting age care for our patients.  To see the number of restaurants participating in the Foundation’s Dine Around to support Cardiac and Vascular Services, reaffirms how important this project is to our community.”
