Teacher Appreciation In the Midst of Virtual Learning

Apr 29, 2020 09:43AM ● By Kristy Huddle
Our teachers have shined like the heroes they are, given these unusual circumstances they have faced and overcome. “Our teachers are always amazing but recent circumstances have demonstrated even more how much they give to their students,” shares Amy Gough, Executive Director of the Cabarrus County Education Foundation (CCEF). “This year, we believe Teacher Appreciation Week is even more important to demonstrate how much our community supports and values our CCS educators.”

With the announcement of remote learning for the remainder of the year, CCEF has worked with several of our restaurant partners to provide Thank-a-Teacher Meals as a way for CCS students and their family to say ‘thank you’ to their teachers remotely.

Parents may choose to purchase either an individual or family meal on the CCEF website, ccefnc.org. After the purchase, CCEF will notify the teacher who will select the restaurant, meal option and pick up day they prefer. Orders must be received by Friday, May 1st at 9:00pm.

We are very grateful for our current partners Afton Tavern, Afton Pub & Pizza, D’Anna’s Kitchen, Jason’s Deli, Johnny Rogers BBQ, and PB&J Catering for helping us to make this opportunity possible to recognize our teachers.

For more information or to place your order, please visit CCEF’s website at ccefnc.org.
