Comfort Publishing
Comfort Publishing, Inc. was established in the fall of 2000 in order to serve as the parent company for what was then known as "The Greater Cabarrus Business Magazine". Originally started as a strictly business publication for the Cabarrus region, we published our first issue in January, 2001. We had originally planned to be a bi-monthly publication, but after only two issues, the demand from the public was so great, we decided to go monthly in July of that same year.
In the Summer of 2005, Comfort Publishing became a partner with the city of Concord to take over production of the Concord City Circular, which is a magazine that is distributed to almost 30,000 Concord city residents. This publication is owned by the city and Comfort Publishing serves to complete the design and layout, as well as assist with some editorial content.
2007 saw major changes for this company and its publications. It began with a revamp of our website, developed by Bullzeye Creative, serving the community with daily updated news about the community we live in, including; breaking news, community news, business news, sports and arts & entertainment. Then in the latter half of the year, Comfort Publishing found a new partner in former Carolina Panther, Mike Minter. In November, 2007 CB&L magazine returned to its roots and we relaunched the publication under its original name, Cabarrus Business magazine.
In the fall of 2008, Comfort publishing launched its first sister publication for Cabarrus Business, entitled Lake Norman Business. As CBM targets the business dealings and growth of the Cabarrus region, Lake Norman Business will do the same for the Lake region, extending from the Northlake area all the way to Mooresville and southern Iredell county and over to Denver. You may visit the Lake Norman Business site at www.lakenormanbusinessmagazine.com.
