IKE’S CONSTRUCTION SUMMER ENTERTAINMENT SERIES PRESENTS FREE OUTDOOR MOVIE: WALL-E (G)

The City of Kannapolis Parks and Recreation Department, in conjunction with Ike’s Construction, is excited to announce the first free outdoor movie to be shown as part of their summer entertainment series.  On Friday, May 22nd at 8:45 p.m., the hit movie, WALL-E (G) will be shown on the 40’ x 20’ Time Warner Big Screen at the Village Park Amphitheater, between West A and C Streets off of Dale Earnhardt Boulevard.

After hundreds of lonely years doing what he was built for, the curious and lovable WALL-E discovers a new purpose in life when he meets a sleek search robot named EVE.  Pack a picnic, spread out a blanket and join them and a hilarious cast of characters on a fantastic journey across the universe.

Radio Disney will be on site starting at 6:00 p.m. with games, prizes and activities for children and their families.

The evening is sponsored by City of Kannapolis Parks and Recreation, Ike’s Construction, Radio Disney, Cabarrus Arts Council, Carolina NewsChannel 36, Site Solutions, Afton Ridge, Cabarrus County Public Library, Best of Care Assisted Living and Woolpert.

On select Fridays through August 21st, a family-friendly movie will be shown on the Time Warner Big Screen.  Upcoming movies include, Open Season 2, Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa, Jumanji, Kung Fu Panda, Footloose and Bolt.
