Highrock Raceway to Open in 2009

Spencer - High Rock Raceway will be the first and only dedicated road course in North Carolina. This world-class road course, designed by legendary road racer Elliott Forbes-Robinson, will feature 14 turns and span 2.15 miles. The Raceway will host both amateur and professional car and motorcycle race events.

High Rock Raceway is the only “green” track in the nation. Its design includes consumption-reducing materials and renewable energies and will feature alternative fuels.  The track also will be made available for free to companies and researchers working to develop alternative fuels and vehicles.

High Rock Raceway is a true “Racing Country Club” and is currently enrolling memberships and selling luxury, 1,400-square-foot two-story townhomes.

The property is located in Spencer, North Carolina, directly off Interstate 85 and approximately 40 minutes north of Charlotte and 45 minutes south of Greensboro.

Opening date: 2009

Designer: Elliott Forbes-Robinson

This is a tough time to be doing this. I hope we don't spread ourselves too thin so that no track has enough support to pay the bills.

25K for initial membership .. guess that's one way to keep spec Miata's off the track on member driving days.

Can't wait, but the layout looks a little boring like other tracks. VIR has the elevation changes and flowing turns.
