Concord, N.C., December 3, 2008 – Walker Marketing was recently honored by the Davey Awards, receiving the organization’s prestigious awards for five marketing and communications projects.
The annual awards honor the creative excellence of smaller agencies from around the world. Projects are judged to evaluate the distinction in creative work which is based on out-of-the-box thinking and exceptional execution. This year, entries were judged in more than 300 categories, spanning a full spectrum of marketing and communications specialty areas.
Walker’s awards span a range of integrated marketing tactics. The firm received a gold and four silver awards acknowledging a standard of excellence in marketing collateral, interactive projects and graphic design.
Work for two of the firm’s continuing care retirement community (CCRC) clients earned honors. A magazine and Web site campaign for The Cascades at Verdae earned silver awards and a sales kit for The Cardinal at North Hills won gold.
An advertising campaign for McClancy Seasoning Co., a flavor development and R&D company, and a magazine for the city of Kannapolis both won silver awards.
“Walker has always been committed to excellence in developing the most effective integrated communications tools and tactics, in providing unparalleled client service and in growing our own business,” said Gary Walker, president and CEO, Walker Marketing. “Being honored by the Davey Awards only strengthens this reputation in the marketplace.”
