Cabarrus County – Property owners in Cabarrus County will begin receiving their 2007 real and personal property notices. The tax notices were mailed July 23. The payment due date is September 1, 2007. All taxes must be paid in full by the delinquent date of January 8, 2008 to avoid penalties and interest charges. 

CONCORD – Jason Allen Vincent Conlee, 28, of 8643 Newgrass Lane, Charlotte, was killed in an accident yesterday afternoon. Conlee, was driving a 2004 Nissan 350Z on Central Avenue, traveling to Kannapolis when he lost control of his vehicle around 5 p.m. The car left the right hand side of the roadway, flipped and crashed into a vehicle that was parked at a business.
