Cabarrus County – Property owners in Cabarrus County will begin receiving their 2007 real and personal property notices. The tax notices were mailed July 23. The payment due date is September 1, 2007. All taxes must be paid in full by the delinquent date of January 8, 2008 to avoid penalties and interest charges. 

Taxpayers can make partial payments on their tax bills up until the delinquent date by getting a coupon payment book from the Cabarrus County Tax Collector’s Office.  

Property with overdue taxes from previous years is subject to foreclosure. The Cabarrus County Tax Collector’s Office has contracted the law firm of Price Law Office to handle foreclosures. The foreclosure process already has been initiated on 22 parcels.
