In anticipation of the release of Columbia Pictures’ drama Seven Pounds, Will Smith, the star of the film, will walk the red carpet on Dec. 11 at Regal Stonecrest for a special Charlotte premiere to support Second Harvest Food Bank and the public is invited to join him in helping those in need.

Seven Pounds opens in Theaters nationwide on Dec. 19. Academy Award-nominee Smith reunites with the directors and producers of The Pursuit of Happyness for the emotional drama Seven Pounds. In the film, Smith plays Ben Thomas, an IRS agent with a fateful secret who embarks on an extraordinary journey of redemption by forever changing the lives of seven strangers.

WHO: At the premiere, Will Smith will donate 300 turkeys to the Second Harvest Food Bank for the holiday season. The red carpet presentation will begin at 6 p.m. and is open to the public. Special guests, in addition to Smith, will include Panthers’ players Steve Smith and Julius Peppers, Richard Petty.
