Kannapolis - A free event to encourage people to recylce their old electronics equipment has been scheduled for February 24 at the Wal-Mart in Kannapolis, from 10am - 3pm.
The store, located at 2420 Supercenter Drive, NE in Kannapolis at the Northlite Shopping Center, will host the event, also sponsored by well known computer giant, HP.
Participants are asked to bring Computers, Scanners, Monitors, Printers, VCRs, Digital Phones, DVD Players, Copiers and Fax Machines to be recycled, free of charge. You may bring up to five items per car.
Restricted items include: TV's, home appliances (microwaves, stoves, etc.) or items with refrigerants (refrigerators, air conditioners), household chemicals or other chemicals of any kind or any equipment containing, having been in contact with, any chemicals or liquids. In addition, no commercial or institutional material accepted.
