Give Thanks for Wildlife

Wildlife art, live raptors, discussions with leading native plant experts and tasting stations with sustainably harvested flora and fauna are just a few of the highlights of North Carolina Wildlife Federation’s “Give Thanks for Wildlife” benefit on Nov. 19 from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. at Bank of America’s Urban Garden. The fundraising event also includes the debut of a community-created mosaic featuring NC wildlife and nature photos, art created "on the fly" by fine artist Walter Stanford, NC wines and craft beer, live music, buffet, silent auction and raffle. General admission and VIP tickets are on sale now. Additionally, Dr. Doug Tallamy, author of “Bringing Nature Home,” and Dr. Larry Millichamp, author of “Native Plants of the Southeast,” will be on hand to sign books and answer questions about native plants. Other discussion centers will focus on NCWF’s priorities and programs, including Sound Solutions Marine Resources Reform, The Butterfly Highway, Great Outdoors University and Farmers and Communities Manage Deer.
