Black Gold: NC Slavery and Reed Gold Mine

Our Lead Interpreter will host a presentation and discussion for Black History Month which focuses on the enslaved population of this area and North Carolina's gold mining history.

This program will be hosted every Saturday at 1:00 pm in February for a cost of $2.00 for individuals 8 years old and older.

Please, join us in telling this story which deserves to be heard. Note, we are happy to offer this presentation to scheduled groups any time of year!
