Hosted by Clearwater Artist Studios

Categorized as: Art & Galleries
Event tags: Concord, local event

Description:

ClearWater Artist Studios, Concord’s artist-incubator and burgeoning arts center, is proud to announce the exhibition of —and associated events for— THE GO-BETWEEN, a swift survey or ‘aerial view’ of the artwork of Phillip Larrimore.

THE GO BETWEEN will open with an Opening Reception with the artist, 6:00-8:00 pm on May 20th; the exhibition will continue through the end of June. The artist will present an Artist Talk with slideshow, on Saturday June 11 at 2:00 pm (we'll make another Event page for that), which corresponds with ClearWater’s monthly “2nd Saturday Open Studios” day (10am-4pm). A $5 donation is suggested but not required.

Larrimore is an artist who experiments in a variety of ways with how the eyes and the mind re-construct imagery. He has worked in comparative solitude in Wingate, NC, where he came from New York in 1994. He has shown previously at Happy Box Architecture and Dialect Design in Charlotte, as well as the Gaston County Museum; but this is his largest show to date, and includes work from 1999 to the present.
