Excitement Builds at Trump Rally in Concord, NC

Nov 04, 2016 11:40PM ● By Kimberly Brouillette
NOVEMBER 3, 2016 - Over 4000 people showed their excitement as Republican presidential candidate, Donald J. Trump made his second trip to Cabarrus Arena and Events Center on Hwy. 49 in Concord, NC just 5 days before the election. The crowd was vibrant with red as they cheered the familiar campaign mantras while Trump promoted his "Contract with the American Voter." Most of the national media representatives were covering the event. The cars filled the parking lot, as well as the adjacent overflow fields. Unlike the Trump rally in Concord on March 7, 2016, no obvious protesters were observed.

Debbie Shields, sales and marketing manager for Cabarrus Arena stated that "Exact attendance numbers could not be provided since the campaign managed all of the ticket distribution and security." Shields went on to say that the arena has a capacity of 5000 people, including a total of 2200 seats, all of which were filled during the rally. This was in addition to the crowd of an estimated 2000 people standing on the floor surrounding the podium. With this in mind, approximately 4200 people attended the rally. This was the last visit that Trump is scheduled to take to Concord, NC prior to the election.

No matter which candidate you support, don't forget to vote on Tuesday, November 8.
