"What's HOP-ening?" Twenty-Six Acres' March 2017 Brew of the Month

Mar 10, 2017 04:10PM ● By Melanie Heisinger

Twenty-Six Acres Brewing Co.'s Second Rodeo Joe.

There's nothing quite like a good porter to end the day with. With hints of coffee, notes of sweetness rounded out by the darkness of the porter. Breakfast for dessert? We think so!

This month's featured brew is the Second Rodeo Joe, a robust, coffee porter.

Twenty-Six Acres Brewing Co's popular Second Rodeo Porter is rested on whole-roasted coffee beans from S&D Coffee. The beer pulls the essence, and some caffeine, from the beans. It's this process that gives the Second Rodeo Joe an intoxicating coffee aroma – much like waking up to a hot breakfast in the morning.

The "roastiness" of the beans offer a nice balance to the sweet fig flavor of the Porter. The brewers were very proud to include the locally sourced coffee beans from S&D.

Keep an eye out for the Second Rodeo Joe porter the next time you visit Twenty-Six Acres!
