Kannapolis and Charlotte, NC are on the radar now that  21-year-old Kameron Marlowe from Charlotte, NC has secured a spot on Season 15 of The Voice. Marlowe made it onto Team Blake by singing "One Number Away."

Marlowe grew up in Kannapolis and is currently a Charlotte resident.
Country music is what he grew up on. "His grandpa would take him hunting and fishing and drive him around in his old pickup truck listening to country radio," The Voice press release states. "He got his start singing in church when he was 10 and later joined a band in high school that played gigs around town."

According to the press release, last year his mom was diagnosed with a degenerative disc injury in her back and as a result couldn't continue working. To help his mom, Marlowe left college and picked up a work as a full time auto parts consultant.

However, music is still his main passion, and performs as much as possible. He's also a worship leader at Elevation Worship.

Congratulations, Kameron! Catch him on The Voice on NBC Mondays (8-10 p.m. ET) and Tuesdays (8-9 p.m. ET), and stay tuned here as we follow his story.
