The Carolina Renaissance Festival has been around for quite some time, and is a staple in the Fall months in North Carolina. From live jousts to biting into a giant turkey leg, people have been stepping into their knickers and heading to the festival to enjoy some renaissance fun.

This year, the festival is mixing it up with two new things to do and see. Be sure to check them out the next time you visit the festival, which is open Saturdays and Sundays from September 20th through November 18th. Visit them at 16445 Poplar Tent Rd Huntersville, NC, 28078.

Another exciting new exhibit is in the grotto this year, where you will find Fairies of the Sea. The Living Mermaid exhibit has a 30,000 lb. aquarium where mermaids enchant, delight, and swim.

Circus Siren Pod is joining the Renaissance Festival crew to put on a show for the masses as the mermaids. They are professionals, so be sure to expect a great show for the whole family to enjoy!
