Each concert is a free event for the community. There are no tickets or a charge for admission.

Blankets, lawn chairs and picnics/coolers are permitted, and concessions will be available for purchase. The Beer and Wine tent will be open during concerts for alcohol sales, ID is required. Please NO pets, tobacco, grilling, glass bottles or outside alcohol brought in. Coolers will be checked at several entry points.   

Parking for all events will be available at the outer parking lots along Dale Earnhardt Blvd. and down West C Street (overflow near the YMCA/Library). During concerts, the Village Park lot will be reserved for handicap parking only (valid handicap placard or license plate required).

National Night Out - August 6

The City of Kannapolis invites everyone, especially neighborhood associations, community groups and homeowner associations to join the Kannapolis Police Department, from 5 – 8 p.m., Tuesday, August 6, to celebrate National Night Out.

The event will be held at Veterans Park, located at 119 N. Main St. and is free to the community.

We will celebrate with food, children's games and much more.

Our police and fire department staff and other community partners look forward to having this opportunity to meet and interact with everyone.National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign that promotes a true sense of community and provides a great opportunity to bring police and neighbors together under positive circumstances. The goal of National Night Out is to have police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make our neighborhoods safe and caring places to live.

Kaleidoscope Art Festival & Zombie Walk - August 24

The Bojangles' Summer Shootout Series - Multiple Dates

The Bojangles' Summer Shootout features family-friendly entertainment and exhilarating short-track action among Legend Cars and Bandoleros chasing championships in the world's ultimate grassroots racing experience. All held on Charlotte Motor Speedway's frontstretch quarter-mile.

This summer series kicks off in June and runs through July. Come out weekly to see everything from school bus racing between principals and pastors to High Heel Dash racing. Gates open at 5 p.m. with racing beginning at approximately 7 p.m. on race nights.

Adult tickets are $8, while kids 13 and under get in free!

New for 2019, Charlotte Motor Speedway will host monthly “cruise-in” style events as part of the growing Cars and Coffee phenomena that’s become a global sensation. Joining more than a dozen similar clubs hosting events across the country and around the world, Cars and Coffee Concord happenings will take place on the third Saturday of each month (excluding May) beginning March 2019. From 7 AM to 10 AM in the speedway’s Fan Zone will be transformed as car owners and enthusiasts gather to celebrate their shared passion for cars and showcasing their prized classics, customs and hot rods. There is no charge for car owners or spectators to participate.

The Basement Pinball Showdown - June 20, July 18

The Basement Arcade Bar (14 Union St S, Concord, North Carolina 28025)

The bar will open at 5pm with tournament play beginning at 7pm sharp. Each participant will pay a $5 entry fee, which will cover the IFPA endorsement fee and add to the prize pool, as well as the cost to play each game (.50 per player per round). The top 3 players will win a cash prize (50%/30%/20%)!

This is a group matchplay event. At the start of each round, registered players will be randomly placed into groups of four to play a single game (chosen at random).  Players earn points based on their finishing position of each game. Rounds will continue until the final one begins before 9pm. The player with the most points at the end of the tournament wins!

This is an all-ages and all-skills event. Beginners are very much welcome. Come find out what competitive pinball is all about!
